We are excited to introduce our newest creation, a collaboration of two great Quad Cities natives: Boetje’s Mustard & Mississippi River Distilling Company! Introducing our newest creation, Bourbon Barrel Boetje’s Mustard!
This tasty treat is the brain child of Boetje Food Inc’s Production Manager, Harrison Kropp, who contacted Ryan Burchett, owner and distiller at the Mississippi River Distilling Company in LeClaire, Iowa. The distillery has a distinct focus on keeping things local, and they were excited to be part of this new Boetje’s creation. The new mustard flavor is created by soaking it in oak casks originally used to age Cody Road Bourbon. This gives it a distinct and unique twist with the original Boetje’s kick!
The new Bourbon Barrel Aged Boetje’s Mustard will only be produced in small batches to begin with, and will have limited distribution. Beginning Monday it will be on sale at both our Boetje’s bottling plant & store at 2736 Twelfth Street in Rock Island and at the Mississippi River Distilling Company store located at 303 Cody Road in LeClaire.
SNEAK PEEK
However, if you can’t wait until Monday to get your hands on this amazing mustard, come by the distillery during LeClaire’s First Friday event this weekend! Boetje’s representatives will be on hand with samples of the new flavor and you’ll have your first opportunity to buy it. Plus while you’re there try any of the distillery’s delicious beverages, and stay around town for other First Friday happenings.
