Here’s the recipe along with the original notes submitted by our follower, Shelly. (And if you want to see the original post, you can check it out here.)
Boetje’s Burgers
For each pound of lean ground beef or chuck, add:
- 1 tablespoon of Boetje’s Mustard
- 1/4 cup diced purple onions
- 1 egg
- fresh bread crumbs
- fresh chopped cilantro or parsley
- adobo or greek seasoning to taste
Mix it up, form hamburger patties and grill.
Shelly also says: I usually make 4lbs at a time and that makes about 12 good size burgers. We top with sliced cheddar cheese, thick sliced bacon and you can add; sliced tomato, fresh spinach or even arugula is good, fresh purple onion rings or grilled peppers and serve on plain or onion Kaiser rolls.
PS, this is not Shelly’s picture but we’d like to think the burger must look a little like this.
