Since our last post, the world has taken a crazy turn off the path and we have found ourselves in a time unlike any of us have ever lived through. Yes, the world has been through pandemics in the past. But none of us were here. And now each of us is finding our way through these really crazy times in our own ways, leaning on each other when we can, although of course from six feet away.
Here at Boetje Foods Inc, we don’t have answers either. With the virus growing and the economy crumbling, it is a time of great stress and uncertainty. We don’t know how to fix it or how to stop the anxiety and fear. But the one thing we know we can tell you is that we support you. We wish for you to find a sense of peace even in the darkness. We hope that when the uncertainty becomes too much, that you reach out to a friend or a therapist or someone you can talk to. We encourage you to do your part to help get this under control by staying home as much as you can and taking precautions as much as possible.
To all of our front line people fighting the battle and providing for the things we still need, Thank You. Whether you are wearing a nurse’s uniform or a grocery store apron or a hard hat, we know that you are the people keeping our world spinning right now, and we are grateful.
We appreciate you, our customers, our fans, our friends. We know that when this all ends– and it will– we are going to come out stronger, and hopefully kinder, more gracious, more appreciative.
So for now, hold on. Hold on to each other. Hold on to hope. Hold on to the goodness that is being found in humanity. We are all in this together.
